Workers Compensation - What you need to know as the CFO

Workers Compensation insurance is one of a few coverages most employers are required to purchase, and yet there are many misconceptions about why it exists and how it operates. Join FEAT on Wednesday, May 3rd for a presentation by Melissa Lykins, Vice President of Claims for Lovitt & Touché, where she will discuss key elements of Workers Compensation coverage, the mechanics of pricing, and how organizations can manage program costs on both a prospective and retrospective basis through technology, strong controls and proper diligence.

In this meeting, we will discuss some of the preventive steps employers can take to minimize audit surprises, key elements to consider in mergers, acquisitions and multi-state operations, and take a deeper dive into the calculation and overall impact of and organization’s Experience Modification Rating (EMOD).  Melissa will also provide perspective on the best practices she has observed, implemented and managed throughout her extensive career in the Workers Compensation industry.
