2017 was a watershed year for U.S. tax law, from the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to the commentary on, and finally implementation of, FASB 2014-09 – arguably the most sweeping change to accounting principles ever compiled.

Under these new rules, almost every company utilizing U.S. GAAP will be affected and should be considering the implications for their federal, state and (if applicable) sales tax compliance practices.  The current effective date for public entities, certain non-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans begins after Dec. 15, 2017, with all other entities beginning after Dec. 15, 2018.

Join FEAT and co-presenters Clark Goding and Susan Vos from Regier, Carr & Monroe as they discuss the proposed changes, their potential up- and downsides for your organization and key considerations as you implement these new standards into your accounting methodologies.  In their presentation, Clark and Susan will tackle the critical issues and your questions on these new regulations.

Susan Vos has an outstanding auditing background and unique forensic accounting skills that help us effectively serve our business and non-profit clients. On September 1, 2013, the firm recognized Susan’s accomplishments by adding her to our partner group, after two years serving as Audit Manager for the firm.

A Certified Fraud Examiner, Susan received a Master of Accounting from the University of Arizona and graduated from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Susan is the Vice President of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the ACFE, which she and a colleague co-found in 2014. She also currently serves on the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee of San Miguel High School.

Clark Goding joined RCM as an audit manager in August 2016. He is a graduate of New Mexico State University where he received a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Accountancy. Clark also holds a Construction Industry Financial Professional certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

With over 20 years of experience in accounting, Clark specializes in audit engagements of contractors, closely held small businesses, and not-for-profit organizations.

Reservations are required and must be made no later than Friday, April 20th at 4 pm.

This members-only session is limited to the first 12 registrants.
